Rosewood Mandarina

Rosewood commissioned me to photograph Mandarina, which hides in a riot of tropical green between the Sierra de Vallejo and the Pacific. Late sun raking across cane screens and terracotta, great woven lanterns hung over long communal tables, a deep soaking tub turned toward the open sea. A twist of lemon peel over a cocktail as the light goes. Vines spill from every terrace, and within a day it's hard to say where the hotel ends and the hillside begins.
