Namibia for Chase Travel

Chase Travel sent me on a solo pilgrimage to Namibia, one of the most primordial places on the planet. The Namib is the oldest desert on earth, and it feels it. Endless ochre plains, mountains cloaked in indigo at nightfall, a silence so complete it has texture. A lioness crossing the road at arm's length. Each retreat meets all of this with an almost reckless elegance. Four-poster beds facing the void, nothing but majesty for a hundred miles in every direction, and the slowly dawning realization that solitude, out here, is a gift.
